In-app notifications

Quick answer

How Omesta's in-app notification bell behaves. Always-on regardless of email settings, per-user unread state, one-click mark-all-read, no workspace-wide sync.

1 min read•Updated January 30, 2026

Every user has a notification bell in the top nav. Clicking it opens the notification drawer.

What appears

Everything that would fire via email also lands in-app, regardless of which channels you have configured. In-app is always on.

Unread count

Reflects notifications that haven't been opened in the drawer, regardless of whether the user clicked through to the finding. Resetting is one-click ("Mark all read").

Per-user, not per-workspace

Each workspace member has their own notification state. Your teammate marking something read doesn't mark it read for you.
