Omesta vs Google Performance MaxOmesta vs Google Performance Max

Performance Max covers Google. Omesta covers your whole ad week.

Performance Max (PMax) is a Google Ads campaign type that uses Google's AI to run one campaign across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps. Omesta doesn't replace it. Omesta connects to your Google Ads account alongside Meta and TikTok, reviews results every day and recommends changes you approve before they run, unless you've turned on Autopilot for that action.

The work

What each one does

Omesta

Ad management software for small local businesses, built Meta-first, with Google and TikTok in the same view. It reviews the campaigns already in your accounts, including Performance Max, and doesn't replace Google's bidding.

  • Reviews connected accounts daily and flags rising costs, stalled delivery and tracking gaps
  • Drafts new ads with the creative credits included in every plan
  • Recommends changes and records every action in an activity history

Google Performance Max

A goal-based campaign type, included in Google Ads, that reaches all Google Ads inventory from one campaign. It's available for Sales, Leads, Website traffic and Local store visits and promotions objectives.

  • Smart Bidding bids in each auction toward your conversion goals, with an optional cost-per-acquisition or return-on-ad-spend target
  • Google mixes your headlines, images and videos into ads for each channel and can generate extra text and video
  • Controls like brand exclusions, negative keywords, search themes, placement exclusions and channel priority help steer where budget goes

How each one runs

How Omesta runs

  1. Connect. Link Google Ads, plus Meta or TikTok, during your free trial. Connecting doesn't replace Performance Max or change how Google bids.
  2. Review. Omesta checks spend and results daily across every connected account.
  3. Approve. It recommends supported changes, such as pausing campaigns, adjusting budgets and schedules, or adding negative keywords. You approve each one before it runs, unless you've turned on Autopilot for that action.
  4. Track. The activity history shows what was proposed, approved, done or failed.

How Performance Max runs

  1. Set the goal. Choose your conversion actions and, optionally, a target.
  2. Add assets and signals. Upload text, images and video, and share audience signals like customer lists to guide learning.
  3. Let Google deliver. Google's AI bids and places ads across its channels. Exact-match Search keywords still take priority over PMax for matching searches.
  4. Give it time, then review. Google recommends running a new campaign at least six weeks before big changes, then checking asset and channel reports.

Fit

Honest take

Choose Performance Max on its own if you...

  • Use Google as your main channel and are comfortable in Google Ads
  • Have solid conversion tracking and budget for the learning period
  • Want Google's full inventory from one campaign
  • Don't need Meta or TikTok in the same view

Choose Omesta if you...

  • Get most of your leads from Facebook and Instagram, with Google as a second channel
  • Want one daily review across Meta, Google and TikTok instead of separate dashboards
  • Want to know quickly when cost per lead jumps or tracking stops recording conversions
  • Want to approve budget and status changes yourself, or let Autopilot handle the ones you choose

The short version: PMax is Google's automation for Google. Omesta is a daily check across all your ad accounts. If PMax works for you, keep it, and let Omesta review it alongside your Meta and TikTok results so you can compare cost per lead in one place.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Omesta change how Performance Max bids?

No. Google's Smart Bidding runs the auction. Omesta reviews results and recommends supported changes around it, such as budget or status changes, which you approve, unless you've turned on Autopilot for that action.

Does Omesta support Google Local Services Ads?

No. Omesta supports Google Ads campaigns, Meta and TikTok, but not Google Local Services Ads or call tracking.

Is PMax good for a small local business?

It can be, especially with reliable conversion tracking and enough budget for the learning period. Because PMax optimizes toward the conversions you choose, make sure those conversions are real leads, not just page visits. Results vary, so start with one clear goal.

Do I need PMax to use Omesta?

No. Omesta works with your connected ad accounts whatever campaign types you use. Many local businesses start with Meta.

What about Google's auto-generated text and landing pages?

If you turn on text customization or Final URL expansion, Google can write headlines from your site or send people to a different page. Google says you're responsible for reviewing what those assets say.

What can Omesta change in Google Ads?

Supported actions include pausing or resuming campaigns, changing budgets, schedules and locations, and managing negative keywords. See the integration data disclosure.

How much does Omesta cost?

Starter $349, Growth $799, Scale $1,499 and Enterprise custom, based on your monthly ad spend. Ad spend is paid separately to Google, Meta or TikTok. See pricing.

Is there proof Omesta works?

We share only real numbers. Tub Revive reported about 60 Meta leads at roughly $6 each (owner-reported, September 17, 2026). Those are leads, not booked jobs.
